How did Podłoga 2.0 reach #1 in Google Maps for key local search terms? Case Studies

Who is the client?

Podłoga 2.0 is a company specialising in installing and restoring wooden floors, operating on the local market. The company offers a complete range of flooring services: from expert advice and measurements, through professional installation, to restoring old wooden surfaces. The client focuses on quality, using the best materials and modern tools. On their website, they highlight their experience, individual approach to each customer, and the aesthetics of their work. They also offer stair restoration, making their offer even more comprehensive. They operate mainly locally, and their goal is to dominate Google Maps results for selected search terms.

Challenges

At the start of our work with Podłoga20.pl, we analysed the client's presence on Google Maps and identified a number of areas that needed improvement. Although the company offered high-quality services, its Business Profile wasn't making full use of its marketing potential. Low activity, a suboptimal content structure and inconsistent data were all hurting local visibility. The situation was made more difficult by strong competition in the renovation and finishing services industry.

  • No Google Business Profile optimisation: basic information was incomplete or inaccurate, which hurt local visibility.
  • Low user action volume: clicks on the "call", "get directions" or "visit website" buttons were minimal.
  • No photo activity: the profile didn't have regularly added photos, which had a negative effect on how Google's algorithms rated it.
  • No responses to reviews: reviews weren't being answered in an optimised way.
  • High local competition: particularly in large cities, where many renovation and finishing companies operate.
  • Imprecise categories and services: which limited visibility for specific search terms.
  • Inconsistent NAP data (name, address, phone number): between the profile and other online sources.

Campaign goals

Our main goal was to increase the local visibility of Podłoga 2.0's Business Profile and achieve top rankings for key search terms. The specific goals were:

  • Increasing the number of Google Business Profile views for local search terms related to floor installation and restoration.
  • Improving the number of user interactions (clicks on "call", "get directions", "website").
  • Expanding and optimising the profile's content (company description, categories, photos, service list).
  • Increasing the number of positive reviews and implementing a review management system.

Thanks to consistent work, we achieved every one of the goals above, with very good results.

Automating reporting and results analysis

As part of our work for Podłoga 2.0, we set up a dedicated Looker Studio report that automatically pulls data from Google Business Profile via the API. This made it possible to monitor profile views, clicks on action buttons, the number of reviews and the average rating on an ongoing basis. The report updates daily, allowing us to spot trend changes quickly and report on results efficiently. The dashboard is available online 24/7 for the client, which increased the transparency of our collaboration and shortened the reaction time to any drops or increases in user activity.

Results in keyword visibility

After implementing comprehensive optimisation work, Podłoga 2.0's Google Business Profile started generating increasingly better results in local search. Within just a few weeks, we noticed a significant rise in visibility for the most important search terms related to the client's services. Google Maps rankings improved to positions 1-2, which increased the number of enquiries and requests for a quote. These results confirm how effective a well-planned local SEO strategy can be.

Actions taken

To effectively increase Podłoga 2.0's visibility in local Google search results, comprehensive optimisation work was needed. The main goal was to increase the number of profile views and generate genuine enquiries from customers in the area. The client also wanted to build a strong brand presence on Google Maps and increase the number of interactions with the profile. The work covered both technical and content aspects, with particular focus on local SEO.

  • Full configuration and optimisation of the Google Business profile,
  • Expanding the "About" section and service list, and adding keywords,
  • Preparing a dedicated description,
  • Adding photos to the profile,
  • Regularly linking to the profile,
  • Review management: preparing optimised responses,
  • Integration with Looker Studio to monitor results.

Summary

Podłoga 2.0's Google Business Profile became a powerful marketing tool, generating genuine traffic and enquiries from potential customers. Thanks to a comprehensive approach and optimisation, the company gained high visibility in local results, outperforming many competitors. It's a great example of just how much impact a professionally managed profile can have on local business growth.
